4)Hogwarts (Scotland, United Kingdom)

For lovers of the ‘Potterverse’, Halloween is about to get even more magical. The Making of Harry Potter is bringing back a spooktastic feature in the run-up to the creepiest night of the year – Hogwarts After Dark.

Having launched in 2018, the ingenious event sees fans spending the Halloween period amongst sets from the beloved films, each of which has been given a ghoulish makeover to bring Harry Potter’s darker elements to the fore. After being guided into the Great Hall, which will be decorated with floating pumpkins, guests will be seated to enjoy a spread of festive red apples, pumpkin treats and cauldrons of lollipops. The evening will continue with many other eerie happenings, including following spiders into the lantern-lit Forbidden Forest to meet magical creatures, duelling with a team of sinister Death Eaters (dark wizards who seek to destroy non-magical folk), and exploring Diagon Alley after dark.

If you’re keen to spend your Halloween at Hogwarts, the event will be taking place on Friday 25 October, Saturday 26 October and Sunday 27 October from 7.30pm.
